Terms of Service

1. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or harm any person.
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Upload viruses, malware, or any malicious or harmful code.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' data, or our systems.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute attendee data or event content without permission.
• Use the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written consent.

We may remove content or suspend access for violations of these terms.

2. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and registering for events.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
• You are responsible for ensuring that any information you collect from your attendees (e.g., dietary needs, emergency contacts) is collected and used in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
• You agree to promptly notify us if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscription Billing & Cancellation

Ocassio offers the following subscription plans, each with a 14-day free trial:

• Base — $9.99/month, for one event up to 25 registrants with manual payment collection.
• Essential — $25/month, for unlimited events up to 150 registrants with custom branding and email broadcasts.
• Pro — $69/month, for unlimited events up to 500 registrants with online card payments, attendee directory, and photo/video sharing.
• Partner — Custom pricing for planners and associations, with white-label branding, multi-organizer management, and custom domain.

All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your selected plan begins and your payment method is charged on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle — you retain access to paid features until then. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. Annual billing, if offered, follows the same cancellation terms on a per-year basis.

We may change our pricing upon reasonable notice. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice.

4. Payment Processing

Online card payments for event registrations are processed through our third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe). Ocassio facilitates these transactions on behalf of event organizers but is not the merchant of record. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Payment processing is subject to the terms and policies of the applicable payment processor.

Event organizers may also choose to collect payments offline (e.g., mail, Zelle, CashApp). In those cases, Ocassio is not involved in the transaction and bears no responsibility for funds collected outside the Service.

Refunds and disputes for event registration payments are handled between the event organizer and the attendee, subject to the payment processor's dispute and chargeback policies.

5. Content Ownership

Event organizer content. Organizers retain ownership of the event details, descriptions, pricing, itineraries, and announcements they create. By publishing an event, you grant Ocassio a limited license to display that content within the Service for the purpose of operating your event.

Uploaded photos and videos. You retain ownership of any photos or videos you upload to a shared event gallery. By uploading, you grant Ocassio and the event organizer a non-exclusive license to display that content within the event portal. You may remove your uploaded content at any time.

You represent that you have the rights to any content you upload and that it does not infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others. Ocassio reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ocassio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of registrations, payment processing failures, or business interruption.

In no event shall Ocassio's total liability exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory upon which the claim is based.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice where appropriate. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms cease immediately.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
